Vap certification - certification for medical facilities

1. What is it and what is the process of a AAP certification?
A certificate confirms the successful implementation of the requirements of the association of Arab patients in the field of adaptation of the company to the Arab-Islamic culture and usual standards in the countries of origin. Patients and their relatives receive in a certificate the certainty that within the medical institution (hospitals, clinics, polyclinics, practices, medical centers) culturally adapted services, Work processes, room equipment as well as personnel trained in this area to the Arabic or. Muslim patients are waiting.

The AAP certification is by no means a process to be solved within a few days. First of all, it is necessary to discover the shortcomings in the current state and then to deal with the concrete requirements of the PSP in order to implement them.

Experience shows that certifications accompanied by experts have a much higher chance of success. For this reason, it is advisable to bring external help into the boat at this point. This external consultant supports you in planning, setting up and establishing Arab-Muslim patient management and, in cooperation with you, creates the prerequisites for successful AAP certification.

On this page you will be introduced to the individual steps on the way to your certification: starting with the pre-audit, through the certification audit and post-audit to the re-certification audit. It is important to know that not all certification steps must always be carried out.
2. What needs to be done in preparation for a AAP certification?
The preparation for VAP certification mainly refers to the following:
  •     Application and conclusion of contract with the AAP
3. The pre-audit
Before the actual certification audit begins, your Arab-Muslim patient management will undergo a pre-audit. This pre-audit is not a mandatory part of the certification process, but represents a voluntary preliminary examination. In this pre-audit, you check together with AAP consultants and experts whether your patient management already meets all AAP requirements and certification is possible. Companies can uncover any ambiguities during the pre-audit and overcome them before certification.
4. The certification audit
Following the, if necessary. The actual certification is carried out pre-audit, in which a AAP certifier* checks the implementation of the AAP requirements.

What is the purpose of the certification audit?

The purpose of the certification audit is for the auditor to carry out a detailed review of the workflows, room equipment, offers and handling of Arab patients. The auditor makes sure that the VAP requirements are met.

Content
  •     On-site examination of Arabic-Muslim patient management
  •     Collection of evidence and information on compliance with AAP requirements
Purpose
  •     Evaluation and verification of the implementation of AAP requirements

After the auditor has performed the certification audit, he/she then creates an audit report and evaluates the results obtained during the audit. Results typically found during the certification audit are:
  •     Compliance with the requirements of the standard
  •     Non-compliance with standard requirements

Evaluation of audit results in the certification process

After the audit report has been prepared, the auditor and your company will have a final meeting. The certification auditor gives you an overview of the certification process and presents the results. In addition, you may be required to provide. informed about non-compliance and you will receive suggestions in this case, how to turn off or. can improve. If the certification auditor has detected deviations from the standard, your company must then take the following steps:
  •     Analyze causes of non-conformities
  •     Define appropriate corrective actions
  •     Have the corrections evaluated by the certification body during a post-audit within 90 days
5. The post-audit
In the event of deviations, a follow-up audit must be carried out, whereby the effectiveness of the defined corrective measures is evaluated by AAP. Although the post-audit refers exclusively to the review of the improvement measures, it increases the certification costs incurred. No follow-up audit is required if the auditor has not found any deviations from the standard requirements.
6. How do I get a AAP certificate after a successful certification audit?
If all requirements are met, you will receive your AAP certificate, with an additional 1-5 stars awarded.
7. Recertification
A AAP certificate has a validity period of 2 years. After the expiry of the validity period of your AAP certification, the recertification takes place.
